ANTHONY B “TURN UP THE MUSIC” ON THE NO CURFEW RIDDIM – PRODUCED BY BOBBY KONDERS FOR MASSIVE B RECORDS
Jamaican deejay Anthony B has unveiled brand new visuals for “Turn Up The Music,” the current single gaining steam off of producer Bobby Konders’ recently released No Curfew Riddim EP on Konders’ Brooklyn-based Massive B Records label. The lively “Turn Up The Music” clip premiered on Massive B’s YouTube channel today.
The colorful video, filmed partially in Miami’s Wynwood Art District and partially in Kingston, boasts the fun dancehall vibes and high energy performances from Anthony B that have made him one of the most beloved artists in reggae music since the Clark’s Town native emerged on the international scene in the ’90s.
“This generation asking for the original Jamaican dancehall vibes style riddims, and most of all, information they only see watching old dance videos on YouTube”
The concept of the new video, directed by Troublesum, was to capture the “original Jamaican reggae and
dancehall energy that inspired millions of youths worldwide,” as Anthony B summarized.
“Anthony B brings the FIRE on this riddim,” added Bobby Konders in a message directed to DJs everywhere. “It mixes with everything 92bpm…tek it to dancehall!”

“Turn Up The Music” is built on a backing track that producer Bobby Konders defiantly dubbed the “No Curfew Riddim.” The piano-driven skank and synthesized horn refrain, courtesy of musician Madman Myrie, carry echoes of the now classic “Things and Time Riddim” that spawned Buju Banton and Beres Hammond’s 1999 party anthem, “Pull It Up.” Other artists featured on the No Curfew Riddim EP include Cocoa Tea, Burru Banton, Chezidek, and Bramma.
The artists have collaborated several times through the years on tracks like “Back To Normal,” “A True,” and “Dus Dem Out.”
