STEPHEN MARLEY DELIVERS QUIETLY POWERFUL HILLS OF ST. ANN
Grammy Award-winning artist Stephen Marley has dropped a soul-stirring single, Hills of St. Ann, released via Ghetto Youths International. The self-produced track hits like sunlight breaking through Blue Mountain mist. Playing drums, bass, and Nyahbinghi drums himself, with Ranoy Gordon on guitar and Llamar Brown on keys, Marley has crafted something movingly intimate.
The ballad carries you straight to Nine Mile, Bob Marley‘s birthplace and the family’s sacred ground. Stephen inhabits the place completely. Nyahbinghi rhythms pulse beneath the melody like a heartbeat, ancient and insistent.
“The land where my heart belongs,” he sings. You feel every word.
NYAHBINGHI RHYTHMS PULSE BENEATH THE MELODY LIKE AN ANCIENT HEARTBEAT
The single opens a forthcoming self-produced compilation celebrating Jamaica. Its landscapes, culture, and the generations it has shaped.
Sherieta Lewis adds lush background vocals, and Adiambo Riley’s recording and mixing keep everything warm and grounded. Director Shaun Escayg brings the visuals to life with the same reverence the music deserves.
Hills of St. Ann is a raw and deeply authentic homecoming. Stephen Marley is building something lasting here.
