ROOTS FIRE: THE REMAKE MOVEMENT DROP A HEARTFELT RALLYING CRY
Nairobi’s reggae and dancehall collective The Remake Movement have always confronted hard truths head-on. Their searing acoustic single, Must Come To Light, arrives with a thunderclap of righteous and utterly compelling energy.
The track cuts straight to the heart of global suffering, naming it all with unflinching clarity. The chorus lands with a preacher’s conviction: “All the things you do in the dark / Must come to light.”
Simple words with devastating weight.
A GENUINE RALLYING CRY FROM PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE CHANGE IS POSSIBLE
“The world is in dire need of leadership that puts people first,” the collective say. “People are more aware and connected than ever before.” It reads as a genuine rallying cry from people who believe change is possible.
Must Come To Light is a solidarity anthem for anyone crushed by unjust systems. It demands spiritual, social, and political awakening.
The group’s long-awaited debut EP is due for release in mid-2026, with a European summer tour to follow. Raw, righteous and utterly compelling, The Remake Movement have arrived.

ABOUT THE REMAKE MOVEMENT

Artist collective The Remake Movement fuse African rhythms, reggae, and dancehall into a bold, distinctly Kenyan sound. Founded in 2019 by Nubian Flame, Kare, and Maestro Macky, their debut single Stay Dangerous became an instant fan favourite in 2022.
Their 2025 collaborative single Two Face, with Jamaican producer Jelliss, adds fresh firepower. They have shared stages with Capleton and Freddie McGregor across Europe’s top reggae festivals. Self-styled Culture Shifters are taking the Kenyan sound global.
