MAXXO DROPS LIFE PON DI ROAD ON NU ROOTS RIDDIM
French reggae singer Maxxo returns to the spotlight with his expansive single, Life Pon Di Road. Following several releases in the last year, this uplifting and wanderlust-fueled track offers the first taste of his upcoming 2027 album.
On Life Pon Di Road, Maxxo explores the restless rhythm of the touring life. The song explores the idea of escape, capturing the simple pleasures of living in the present moment.
Driven by a heavy nu roots riddim, the track balances 1990s sound system vibes with modern production and elements of conscious reggae lyricism.
MAXXO CAPTURES THE PURE JOY OF LIVING IN THE MOMENT
Echoing contemporary roots pioneers like Alborosie and Protoje, the low-end bass carries authentic weight.
The release is accompanied by a striking video filmed across French Polynesia. Shot between the volcanic peaks of Moorea and the shorelines of Tahiti, the scenic Pacific paradise anchors the portrait of a musician on the move.
