STAY NICE MUSIC: INSIDE THE LANDMARK RIDDIM SHOWCASE
Independent label and creative collective Stay Nice Music has released the Landmark Riddim Showcase, an 18-track compilation built around a signature one drop blues sound. Label founder Joshua Don Daka Smith co-produced the project alongside David Jah David Goldmine over nearly three years. The underlying instrumental harmoniously unites roots reggae with soul and blues influences.
An international cast of vocalists brings the riddim to life, giving each artist space to tell their own story. Established reggae singers Ras Shiloh and Ginjah share the release with rising conscious talent including MediSun, Kumar Fyah, and Chris Malachi.
EVERY SONG CELEBRATES THE FULL SPECTRUM OF ROOTS SOUND CULTURE
The Landmark Riddim Showcase built initial momentum through five diverse and hard-hitting singles. Artists explore a wide range of themes from history and freedom to nature and clash culture.
An elite unit of live reggae instrumentalists provides this organic foundation, featuring guitarist Lamont Monty Savory and acclaimed producer and live dub artist Laurent Tippy I Alfred. Jah David and Tippy I Grade then wind up the showcase with three heavy dub mixes.
Through these final dubs, the showcase keeps every song anchored to the same riddim while celebrating the full spectrum of roots sound culture.
