MĀORI NZ REGGAE BAND L.A.B EXPAND TOP ALBUM WITH LIVE RECORDINGS FROM MASSEY STUDIOS

Māori New Zealand reggae band L.A.B has released a Deluxe edition of their latest album, L.A.B VI. The release includes four new imaginings of tracks from the album, recorded live at Massey Studios, with flute, horns, strings, and Taiko drums.

L.A.B VI Deluxe celebrates the connection between L.A.B. and its fans. It’s a testament to the band’s commitment to delivering music that resonates both in the studio and on stage.

With this release, the band answers fans’ requests to release the live sessions they record, ensuring that the live magic they cherish is immortalised in this deluxe edition.

The Deluxe album follows the original release, which debuted at Number One on the Official NZ Album Charts, marking their fourth consecutive Number One album.

THE ALBUM COMBINES REGGAE, ROOTS, ROCK, SOUL, AND FUNK

L.A.B recently performed a series of sold-out shows at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, UK, and Paradiso Amsterdam, Netherlands. They have received support from Jazz FM and BBC Radio 6 Music and have been featured on the BBC Music Life on the BBC World Service global platform.

The new release comes ahead of 14 shows in the United States throughout May, including a return visit to the California Roots Festival.

The album combines reggae, roots, rock, soul, and funk, incorporating all aspects of the band’s unique sound.
