ABOUT JEMERE MORGAN

Jemere Morgan Releases "Higher We Go" Produced By Damian Marley. Reggae Tastemaker

Jemere Morgan, the grandson of reggae legend Denroy Morgan and son of Morgan Heritage member Gramps Morgan, has crafted a unique style of reggae music. His blend of R&B, hip-hop, and pop influences creates a sound that is both familiar and fresh.

His 2013 hit single “Neighborhood Girl” propelled him to international recognition, paving the way for successful albums like 2017’s Transition and 2019’s Self Confidence. Collaborations with renowned artists, including Wyclef Jean, on the 2021 single “My Kingdom” further showcase his versatility and innovation.

Although Jemere was born in Atlanta, he spent most of his childhood on the road with his father’s band. Despite this, he still managed to attend high school, where he showcased his talents by performing a rendition of Mario’s hit song “Let Me Love You” at a talent show.

His first professional appearance was the opening act on his father’s 2011 solo tour. His visibility increased, and he took advantage of it by releasing the mixtape “High School Drama” in 2012, hosted by G-Unit and Shadyville associate DJ Outkast.

Jemere’s big breakthrough came with his 2013 hit single “Neighborhood Girl,” which was included on his debut EP, “I Am Jemere.” He continued to tour with his father over the next few years, releasing the breezy track “Anything You Want” in 2015. Finally, in 2017, he released his first full-length album, “Transition.”
