U-Brown, born in Kingston in 1956, rose from humble beginnings to become a reggae trailblazer. Inspired by U-Roy, his fast, rhythmic deejaying and deep dub tracks carved a unique space in reggae history.
Working with icons like Bunny Lee and King Tubby, he developed a signature style blending roots and innovation. Beyond the mic, U-Brown shined as a producer, label owner, and sound system legend, shaping the reggae scene for generations to come.
