TIWONY UNVEILS HIS EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE “RUMORS OF WAR”
Always sensitive to current events, Tiwony unveils his explosive new single “Rumors of War”, dealing with the various armed conflicts currently affecting the world. It is with substance and form that our Indomitable Lion rode this Reggae-Drillprod composed by the great Randy Valentine from England.
For all lovers of big subs and electric flows, this one is for you. This single is a new extract from his next album which will be released in the first quarter of 2023. This track once again shows us all the talent of this artist whose fans are impatiently awaiting the release of his new album.
ABOUT TIWONY
Tiwony, whose real name is Ronnie MOUKOKO EDIMO, was born on November 15, 1977 in Epinay sur Seine (93) France to a Guadeloupean mother and a Cameroonian father. Flagship artist of the French-speaking Reggae Dancehall scene, he is endowed with productivity and explosive energy. There is Capleton in him with his mystical side and Elephant Man with his scenic energy, but well beyond these comparisons. Tiwony remains an original, unique and more than talented artist.
Since these beginnings to scour the Sound Systems with Influence Sound and Blackwarell Sound (with whom he won the French championships in 2003). Tiwony, nicknamed the Indomitable Lion, has built a solid discography where his Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Afro influences have gradually guided his choices.
From the soundtrack of the film “My 6-T va craquer” (with which he obtained a Gold single), passing through 2 SACEM Guadeloupe awards in 2002 and 2005 (with the titles Beni Yo and Jamais le Mal), his alliance legendary with the great Typical Féféfor the albums “Double trouble” and “Revolution”, a nomination for the Afro-Caribbean Trophies in 2009. The victories of Reggae in 2012 and 2013, a trophy for best Reggae artist at the Hit Lokal Awardsin 2018 and the first parts of the triumphal tour of the group “NTM”.
Tiwony has established himself in the French-speaking and even English-speaking musical landscape. Passionate about the studio, he is an eclectic artist with universal and conscious texts that address all the themes of his time.
With already 8 albums to his credit (Beni Yo, Double trouble, Revolution Fly, Viv la vi, Cité Soleil, Difé Lyrical, Roots Rebel), a dozen Mixtapes(My itinerary Vol. 1 and 2, Plis Difé, In the Street Mix, Plis Roots, Bwa an difé la, Dancehall School Freestyle….) and a multitude of singles and various collaborations.
The indomitable lion is putting the finishing touches to his next album recorded and mixed in Paris, New York, Guadeloupe and Senegal, which will celebrate his 25-year career on his label 7 Seals Records.
