HEAVEN SENT: MAXI PRIEST’S VELVET LOVE LETTER TOUCH BY AN ANGEL
One of reggae’s most enduring romantic voices, Maxi Priest moves at his own pace, and Touch By An Angel, a soul-soaked single built on warmth, craft, and quiet emotional authority, proves exactly why.
Out now on his Level Vibes Music imprint and distributed by Intercept Music, Touch By An Angel flows through reggae, R&B, and soul with unhurried grace. This is a man who has spent decades making it feel effortless.
Multi-Grammy Award-winning producer Paul “Jazzwad” Yebuah shapes the sound with precision and warmth. Maxi’s vocals do the rest. Rich, emotionally sure-footed, and deeply assured, they carry the song’s central idea: that real love feels like a long, steady exhale.
“This song is about those moments when love feels effortless,” says Priest. “When being with someone brings a sense of completeness, like you’ve been touched by someone truly special, your angel.”
REAL LOVE FEELS LIKE A LONG, STEADY EXHALE
The cover art adds a new dimension. Created by Maxi himself, it incorporates his visual sensitivity, reflecting an artist fully in command of his creative vision.
This follows his celebrated collaboration with Sean Paul on Feel So Alive, which launched Level Vibes with real intent. A remix package arrives soon, and a live album, Family, recorded across Jamaica, the UK, and the United States with his sons and longtime collaborators, sits just over the horizon.
Maxi Priest is warming up.
