ABOUT TRIBAL SEEDS

Hailing from San Diego, Tribal Seeds offers a fresh take on the rock-reggae sound. Unlike many bands who cite Sublime as inspiration, they draw from the sounds of Steel Pulse and Aswad.

Founded in 2005 by brothers Steven (vocals) and Tony-Ray Jacobo (keyboards), the band debuted with “Youth Rebellion” that same year. This kicked off a series of releases on their own label, including their 2008 self-titled album and 2009’s “The Harvest.” Their 2011 EP, “Soundwaves”, preceded the Billboard-charting success of 2014’s “Representing”, which featured collaborations with reggae icons like Don Carlos, Mykal Rose, and Midnite’s Vaughn Benjamin.
