SANJAY DROPS VIDEO “LOVE YOU ENOUGH”, A DANCEHALL JOURNEY THROUGH HEARTBREAK
Jamaican artist Sanjay delivers a powerful video for his single “Love You Enough.” This track is part of his album “Man of My Word.” The song blends EMO dancehall with reggae sounds, creating a unique style. The album explores emotional breakups, and the single “Love You Enough” fits this theme perfectly.
Sanjay shared insights about the song’s lyrics. He said, “It’s about a stage in the relationship where I felt uncertain about its future. So, I chose to step back. I wanted to give my partner the space to find what she needed and what I couldn’t provide. If I didn’t love her enough to make her stay, I had to love her enough to let her go. And the song says the rest.“
The video, directed by Krystia Royes and shot by Winston Mayhew in Kingston, beautifully captures these emotions. It portrays a loved one connecting with someone new, implying she has moved on. However, a surprising twist shows she hadn’t fully moved on.
The video’s setting in Kingston adds authenticity and depth. Sanjay’s decision to step back from the relationship resonates through the visuals. The twist at the end adds an emotional layer, reflecting the song’s message of love and loss.
