Hector ‘Roots’ Lewis is a Grammy-nominated musician, actor, and educator from Jamaica. His love for music started early in St. Catherine, inspired by his mother, reggae legend Barbara Jones.

Hector has toured globally as a background vocalist and percussionist for Chronixx’s ZincFence Redemption band. His performances have taken him to Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas.

In 2024, Hector debuted in Hollywood as Carlton ‘Carly’ Barrett in the biopic “Bob Marley: One Love.” His talents cross genres like reggae, dancehall, African, Latin and pop. His debut EP, “D’Rootsman,” released in 2022, showcases his creative fusion of these styles.
