GET READY TO GROOVE: BERES HAMMOND RELEASES “LET ME HELP YOU”

Reggae heavyweight Beres Hammond, also known as the Godfather of Lover’s Rock, is back with “Let Me Help You”, a sweet song dedicated to a special woman going through tough times. Beres offers support, promising to listen and reminding her of her inner strength.

“Let Me Help You” is a re-recorded version of the 1988 hit “Let Me Help You Smile Again,” but Beres’ smooth, smoky vocals (the hallmark of lovers rock) make it fresh and new. To celebrate the release, “Let Me Help You” will get major exposure.

BERES’ SMOOTH SMOKY VOCALS MAKE IT FRESH AND NEW

The track has been chosen for Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ feature, meaning giant billboards in Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square and New York’s Times Square will showcase the song! Get ready for a dose of classic romance with a modern twist!

LIVE SHOWS

In addition to billboard visibility, Beres will be on tour in the USA and Canada in July and August 2024, performing songs from his extensive catalogue and a few new gems.

Stops on the ‘Forever Giving Thanks’ tour include the 27th Edition of Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in Boonville, California, on 21-23 June 2024 and 20 July 2024, as the headliner of Reggae Sumfest.

Beres Hammond is a Jamaican music legend known for his soulful voice that blends classic rocksteady and American R&B. Growing up listening to his father’s collection of American R&B greats and Jamaica’s ska and rocksteady scenes, Hammond began his career as the lead singer of Zap Pow.

However, his true rise to fame came with his solo career in the 1980s and 90s. Hits like “What One Dance Can Do” and “Tempting to Touch” showcased his talent, establishing him as a romantic frontman.

But Hammond’s musical range extends beyond love songs. He’s known for tackling social issues within roots reggae and even collaborating with hip-hop artists. Albums like “Love from a Distance” cemented his status as a lovers rock kingpin, while “One Love, One Life” demonstrates his versatility.
