NICK HEADON, THE DUB KITCHEN COMBINES INFLUENCES OF 1970S SKA, DUB AND PUNK WITH EARLY HIP-HOP WITH ‘5 YEARS’
The work of UK multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Headon, the Dub Kitchen combines influences of 1970s ska, dub and punk with early hip-hop. ‘5 Years’ is the 1st Dub Kitchen original track since debut ‘The Dub Return EP’ and continues from where the EP left off in incorporating spoken-word samples with heavy bass-driven grooves.
‘The Dub Return EP’ was released in June 2022 and gained positive feedback from fans and the industry including being added to numerous playlists and receiving BBC radio airplay. Remixes of Seepie’s ‘I Know’ and PLANT BASED’ ‘Reasons‘ followed, helping build the Dub Kitchen’s reputation across the globe, already being listened to in over 50 countries worldwide.
