REGGAE MUSICIAN IRIE SOULJAH IS ALL ABOUT LOVE, WITH HIT REGGAE EP
Irie Souljah is a unique and creative musician whose lyrics infuse emotional and infectious melodies that inspire sing-alongs from the first listen. Recently, he signed with Ineffable Records, which has produced hit reggae tracks such as “Thankful” with Chronic Law and “Helping Hand” with Iya Terra & Anthony B, which have already crossed 1 million combined streams.
With production from his longtime collaborator Genius and himself, Irie Souljah’s All About Love album showcases the different moods of the Barcelona-born artist as he moves through romantic tunes on “Reason Why” and “Show My Love” and “What It Feels Like”, combining smoothed-out reggae vibes with touches of dancehall and R&B.
“During the 2020 lockdowns, I was stuck at home for days and turned to producing and writing music to stay busy. I was listening to a lot of R&B, Afrobeat and Dancehall which led me to focus more on singing and experimenting with patterns and sounds. I’m thrilled with the results on songs like Thankful, Show My Love and Running Outta Love. I’m also especially proud of collaborating with Anthony B, Iya Terra and Chronic Law – they all killed it with their verses. Love, consciousness and humanity are at the heart of this project, and I hope people will hear that I’m trying to innovate on my personal sound in a way that everyone can enjoy and feel.”
The All About Love album follows a successful summer tour supporting Iya Terra and a nomination for Best New Artist (Reggae) at the 2023 Caribbean Music Awards.
ABOUT IRIE SOULJAH
Irie Souljah is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and producer based in Jamaica for almost a decade. He dropped out of music school and fell in love with reggae after attending street parties with his friends in Barcelona. He moved to Jamaica in 2014, where he collaborated with famous artists such as Kabaka Pyramid and Jessie Royal on his first studio album, “Immigrant.” He later toured Europe with superstars such as Coco Tea, Kabaka Pyramid, and made appearances with Chronixx & Junior Gong. Irie is currently working on perfecting his sound and expanding his musical repertoire.
