CHEZIDEK’S 14TH ALBUM, “NEVER STOP”: A TESTAMENT TO HIS PARTNERSHIP WITH IRIE ITES RECORDS
Chezidek, a vital artist in the current reggae scene, has released his latest album, “NEVER STOP.” Produced by Irie Ites Records, this album solidifies the collaboration between the artist and the French label.
Chezidek and Irie Ites have a longstanding relationship dating back to 2001 when they met in Jamaica. Since then, Irie Ites has produced several of Chezidek’s singles such as “Bun Di Ganja,” which has over 1.3M views on YouTube and more than 7.8M streams on Spotify, and other popular tracks like “Who I Am,” “Mr Officer,” and “Bad Out Deh.”
This opus comprises of 13 vocal tracks and 4 dub versions, with instrumentals played by some of reggae’s most prominent names like Mafia & Fluxy, Roots Radics, Earl Chinna Smith, Dean Fraser, Bongo Herman, The Ligerians, Naram, Russ D, and Irie Ites. The album also includes two amazing features: “Kill Dem” with the renowned Trinidad singer Queen Omega for an energetic track and “Mr Officer” with King Lorenzo on the iconic instrumental version of “Roots & Culture.”

ABOUT CHEZIDEK
Born Desbert Johnson on June 20, 1973, CHEZIDEK is a Jamaican reggae singer who started singing at school events before becoming a member of the St. Ann’s Bay Marching Band.
Since 2002, he has grown to become a renowned reggae artist. He released his first album, Harvest Time, on the Xterminator label, followed by several hits such as “Leave The Trees” (2004), “Call Pon Dem” (2007), “Bun Di Ganja” (2008) and “All My Life” (2013), which has garnered almost 40 million views on YouTube. He has collaborated with legendary reggae artists like Sly & Robbie, Capleton, Lutan Fyah, and Mark Wonder.
In 2007, CHEZIDEK released his fourth album, Inna Di Road, on Greensleeves, which opened doors to prestigious stages across Jamaica, the United States, and Europe. One of his songs even made it to the popular video game, GTA.
Inspired by Rastafarian culture, he uses his angelic voice to speak truth to power, tackling political and spiritual issues. He has toured Europe with Irie Ites, performing hit singles like “Bun Di Ganja,” “Mr Officer” feat. King Lorenzo, and “War Monger.”
With 13 albums and several singles to his name, he remains a prominent figure in the reggae scene. His 14th album now accompanies a new European tour with Irie Ites. Fans should expect new singles and videos, which are sure to captivate the hearts of reggae lovers everywhere.
