HEZRON AND BEENIE MAN RELEASE ‘AIN’T TOO PROUD TO BEG’ MUSIC VIDEO
Summer just got hotter with the release of Hezron and Beenie Man’s music video for their version of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg.” Originally a 1966 hit by The Temptations, this classic tune has now been reimagined for a new generation of dancehall fans.
Produced by Richie Stephens for Tad’s International Record, this track is a DJ’s dream. Hezron delivers a soulful performance, capturing the raw emotion of David Ruffin’s original plea for love.
Meanwhile, Beenie Man adds his signature groove, enhancing the track with vibes inspired by Teddy Pendergrass’s 1978 hit, “When Somebody Loves You Back.”
The fusion of soul, Rhythm and Blues, and dancehall creates a sound bound to resonate across diverse markets. This release coincides with the announcement that Beenie Man will receive Jamaica’s Order of Distinction (Officer Class) on National Heroes Day.
Hezron, a key artist at Tad’s International Record, continues to impress with this collaboration. His past hits, like “Natural Woman” and “Save The Children,” have already solidified his reputation.
Now, teaming up with Grammy-winning legend Beenie Man—known for hits like “Slam” and “Who Am I”—Hezron is set to make waves again.
This dynamic duo’s rendition of one of Motown’s greatest songs is sure to be a hit, just like the original.
