THE DANCEHALL-TINGED TRACK IS OFF THEIR GRAMMY®-NOMINATED ALBUM “COLORS OF ROYAL”

Three-time Grammy®-nominated artist Julian “JuJu” Marley connects with Grammy®-nominated producer Alexx Antaeus (Earth, Wind & Fire, Rolling Stones, Tommy Lee Sparta, Yaksta) for the single “Made For Your Love,” out on all streaming platforms via Monom Records.

“Made For Your Love” is a girl’s song with romantic lyrics and a sensual guitar rhythm over a dancehall rhyme. It creates a sense of intimacy and closeness. “Your love was made for my love, your feel was made for my touch” captures the song’s core message: the intense attraction and compatibility between two lovers.

The song was recorded at Antaeus’ studio in Kingston, Jamaica, and mixed at Contrackz Music, in The Bronx, NY. Grammy®-winning engineer Alex Psaroudakis mastered it.

” ‘Made For Your Love’ and the rest of the album is all about artistic freedom and exploration,” says Julian. “We wanted to create something that was both true to reggae music and also pushed the envelope, and I think we’ve achieved that with ‘Colors of Royal.’ It’s a journey through sound and color.”

Antaeus says, “This project has been about Julian’s immense talent, meeting a fresh production. We brought Julian into new musical territories, incorporating Reggae, Dancehall, Reggaeton and Afrobeats, and it paid off. We worked hard, explored fresh approaches to Reggae, and were rewarded with a Grammy nomination.”

Julian “JuJu” Marley, born in Britain, is the son of the legendary Jamaican musician Bob Marley and his mother, Lucy Pounder, who is from Barbados. Julian is a roots reggae musician, singer-songwriter, producer, and humanitarian. His latest album, Colors of Royal, is a follow-up to his 2019 Grammy-nominated album, As I Am, which garnered millions of streams worldwide and included collaborations with Jamaican superstars like Shaggy, Beenie Man, Spragga Benz, and Addis Pablo.
