TOGETHER: WHEN HEARTS AND HANDS UNITE JAHBRADEZ DELIVERS
Conscious roots messenger JahBradez returns with his most galvanising release yet, Together, a fierce new offering on Black River Sonics, the latest pulse in a steady stream from an artist with something urgent to say.
The lyrics speak directly to a recurring grievance. They reference 1970s Jamaica and the creeping grip of outside powers, nations that promise, extract and vanish, leaving communities to fend for themselves. JahBradez also plays drums and co-wrote the song with Shaneak Joan Whittingham, drawing on lived experience, and it shows.
Built on a thunderous foundation, with David W. Prout weaving bass, guitar and keyboards, the song carries the structural authority of classic roots reggae.
WHEN HEARTS AND HANDS UNITE, NO FORCE CAN BREAK THE SPIRIT OF THE PEOPLE
Grammy-nominated producer and keyboardist Paris La Mont sharpens the lead vocal, while Carol Ann Dexter’s harmonies lift the chorus into a full community voice. Executive producers Robinson and Sheldon Shawn Townsend keep it focused and lean.
It’s the chorus that drives home its message with the insistence of a congregation: “We’ve gots to stay in the move now, and stick together, in times like these.”
As JahBradez himself puts it, “when hearts and hands unite, no force can break the spirit of the people.” In times that grow increasingly dreader, this is music that carries you forward.
ABOUT JAHBRADEZ

Born Brady Robinson in Falmouth, Trelawny, JahBradez found his first stage behind a church drum kit at eight years old. That early spark led him to Kingston’s renowned Edna Manley College and, in 2007, to co-founding roots reggae band Pentateuch, whose powerful live shows took them to major festivals across Europe and the USA.
Having shared stages with Original Koffee, Jo Mersa Marley and The Mighty Diamonds, JahBradez now channels that experience into solo music rooted in truth, upliftment and unity.
