U Brown, a prominent figure in the younger generation of Jamaican deejays, emerged from humble beginnings in Kingston in 1956. Growing up surrounded by music, he honed his skills at local bars and studios, eventually launching his career in his teens.
Working with renowned producers like Bunny Lee and King Tubby, he developed a unique style influenced by the legendary U-Roy. His deep, dark dub tracks and fast-paced, percussive deejaying set him apart.
Throughout his career, he has achieved success as a producer, label owner, and sound system deejay, leaving a lasting impact on the reggae scene.
