RISING UNDERGROUND ARTIST TOMAKOK DELIVERS VITAL WAKE UP

French reggae artist Tomawok arrives loud, proud, and full of purpose. His blazing fourth solo album, Wake Up, released via Evidence Music, hits like a splash of cold water: bracing, vital, and impossible to ignore.

Recorded at Studio Vox in Montpellier, this fierce 10-track opus pulses with conscious, committed energy. Title track Wake Up sets the tone immediately, while Petit Soldat crackles with revolutionary fire. Great Chiefs Dem and Canoë carry the same sharp lyrical intent, words that demand you pay attention.

Tomawok also brings real playful swagger. Full Up A Style and Cours d’Espagnol dig deep into 80s and 90s Jamaican raggamuffin tradition, while Locomotive and Je L’Allume radiate collective joy and positive energy.

SHARP RHYMES, UNIFYING ANTHEMS, WAKE UP DELIVERS EVERYTHING

The collaborators are equally impressive. Producers D&H, Dreadsquad, Krak In Dub, and Derrick Sound bring global textures from Brittany to Buenos Aires. Jamaican dancehall legend Mr Lexx lends his unmistakable voice to Mad Man, and American rapper Seuss Mace joins the title track.

Sharp rhymes, explosive flows and unifying anthems. Wake Up delivers everything and then some. Tomawok has arrived.
