TANYA STEPHENS DROPS LANDMARK ALBUM ‘GANGSTA BLUES LIVE 20TH ANNIVERSARY’
Legendary Jamaican singer-songwriter Tanya Stephens has released ‘Gangsta Blues Live: 20th Anniversary.’ This release is a joint venture between Tuff Gong International and Tad’s Record Inc.
Tanya Stephens celebrated the 20th anniversary of her landmark album with a live performance. The concert, which featured the full tracklist, took place at the SiriusXM studio in Miami Beach, Florida. Initially broadcast on SiriusXM Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Radio, the concert has been mixed and mastered into an album.
The 18-track album includes a studio recording of Tanya’s single “Heart Of Stone” with Taddy P. “Performing the entire album was very emotional,” Tanya shared. “What started as pages of a creative diary became songs that people could relate to so well that they incorporated them in their diaries too!“
With an intimate audience of 50 dedicated fans, Tanya poured her heart and soul into delivering breathtaking renditions of her timeless tracks. The night was extraordinary, with Cedella Marley in attendance and DJ GQ as the charismatic emcee.

Tanya Stephens, born Vivienne Stephenson, is a legendary Jamaican songstress and songwriter. For over twenty years, her powerful vocals and outspoken lyrics have addressed social and political issues.
She emerged in the late ’90s with hits like “Yuh Nuh Ready fi Dis Yet” and worked with acclaimed producers. Her albums, including Too Hype and Ruff Rider, cemented her place in reggae.
