Spectacular returns with powerful new album ‘Stay Up’. Reggae Tastemaker

RAW, REAL & RADIANT: THE POWER OF SPECTACULAR’S ‘STAY UP’

Spectacular is back—and he’s louder than ever. After nearly a decade off the studio radar, the Jamaican roots maestro returns with Stay Up, a radiant and resonant collection that bursts with raw energy and timeless soul.

Released via France’s Carabeo Music, this nine-track release delves deeply into themes of unity, justice, and resistance. Spectacular holds nothing back.

Each track feels alive, etched with lived experience, pulsing with inner strength. Whether he’s calling for love or standing firm in the face of adversity, the message is always clear: rise, stay conscious, and move forward.

NO FILTERS, JUST REAL ROOTS REGGAE

Backed by Spain’s Forward Ever Band and recorded live at Studio Okoumé in Madrid, Stay Up carries the grit and warmth of a one-take session. That rare spontaneity shines through. No filters. Just real roots reggae.

Lutan Fyah adds fire on Farmer Man, while Lymie Murray brings harmony to the title track—both voices amplifying Spectacular’s truth with depth and grace.

From the first beat to the final fade, Stay Up doesn’t just revisit the golden spirit of reggae—it reclaims it. Spectacular reminds us why he’s remained a pillar of the genre for over 25 years. Press play, turn it up.
