A REGGAE CLASSIC REBORN IN SIZZLA’S BLACK WOMAN & CHILD – 2024 EDITION

Sizzla, one of reggae’s most influential artists, has brought his milestone album, Black Woman & Child, back to life with an evocative 2024 edition. Produced in 1997 by Bobby ‘Digital B’ Dixon, a King Jammy’s studio graduate, it’s Sizzla’s finest work in nearly thirty years. Rolling Stone calls it a masterpiece”.

At just 21, Sizzla brought depth and conviction beyond his years. His lyrics weave themes of Black nationalism, repatriation, and Pan-Africanism with an urgency that sparked a conscious dancehall revolution.

It’s a call to action layered with the teachings of Prince Emmanuel Charles Edwards, Haile Selassie, and Marcus Garvey.
