TWELVE ARTISTS, ONE CLASSIC GROOVE: SENATOR B DELIVERS THE SOUL-STIRRING ‘WHY DID YOU LEAVE RIDDIM’
Senator B Music just dropped something rich, warm, and deeply rooted—the Why Did You Leave Riddim. Originally created by the legendary Coxsone Dodd in 1967, this classic Studio One riddim has been lovingly rebuilt and reimagined by Senator B with help from reggae’s finest.
Twelve original cuts glide over the riddim, each standing strong. From household reggae names like George Nooks, Mikey General, and JC Lodge, to fresh sparks like Indica featuring Tru Identity, it’s a genre-spanning ride.
Also in the mix is Vivian Jones with Carolene Thompson, Peter Spence, Chukki Starr, and more.
BUILT ON A STUDIO ONE CLASSIC, THIS RIDDIM FLOWS WITH HEART
Harmonie Deja’s Show Me Your Love, already stirring radio presenters, has set the tone. Lush vocals from the late, great Claudia Fontaine, along with JC Lodge, Tru Identity, and Blacksteel, give the riddim a rich, harmonic texture.
And yes, it was recorded at Stingray’s Big House Studio, known for serious reggae business. The riddim flows with heart, history, and high craft.
From deep roots to lovers rock and everything in between, Why Did You Leave Riddim connects generations. Every track tells its own story, but together, they create a full-bodied sound system of soul.
Now streaming on all platforms—plug in, press play, and let the riddim talk.
