When prayer meets hustle: Ras-I and Kabaka Pyramid drop timely gem 'These Are The Days'. Reggae Tastemaker

RAS-I LINKS WITH KABAKA PYRAMID FOR TIMELY GEM ‘THESE ARE THE DAYS’

Jamaican reggae artist Ras-I joins forces with Grammy-winning Kabaka Pyramid on These Are The Days, a soul-stirring single that arrives when the world needs it most. The track pulsates with classic roots reggae energy while delivering an urgent message about taking action over complacency.

“Hard work and smart work is a must,” Ras-I declares. “Prayers alone can’t do it.” This mantra drives the entire song, which celebrates the fruits of dedication while acknowledging the grind behind success.

The collaboration marks the second taste of Ras-I’s forthcoming album Heart of Love, set to drop via Ineffable Records. His star continues to rise since the 2024 Caribbean Music Awards crowned him Best New Reggae Artist, and the Jamaica Tourist Board chose his track Somewhere Wonderful as their official anthem last year.

IT’S A CELEBRATION OF TRANSFORMATION, OF TRADING INACTION FOR PURPOSE

The lyrics capture a pivotal moment: “Gone are the days of being lazy / We spend more time out pan di road now.” It’s a celebration of transformation, of trading inaction for purpose. Kabaka Pyramid‘s presence elevates the message, lending gravitas to this meditation on faith balanced with relentless work.

This is roots reggae with backbone, spiritual and grounded in reality.
