As we eagerly await the full album release, “Love Divine” stands as an ode to transcendent love—a refuge found in music that touches the soul.
ABOUT NADIA MCANUFF
Launched by legendary Jamaican producer Linval Thompson, Nadia McAnuff is a free spirit, rebel, and feminist. She fearlessly ventures off the beaten track, dabbling in pop with the Canadian group Agape and expressing boundless admiration for Nina Simone. But it’s reggae that truly courses through her veins.
Breaking gender norms, Nadia fearlessly plays the Nyabinghi drum—a tradition typically reserved for men in Jamaica. Her illustrious father, Winston ‘Electric Dread,’ surely influenced her audacity. Above all, she denounces taboos, shining a light on sexual abuses and crimes that persist in certain Rasta communities.
Nadia’s career took a pivotal turn when she met one of France’s best reggae bands, The Ligerians. Their long-distance encounter during the pandemic resulted in the excellent single “Lockdown.”
Now, as she prepares to release her album “Shelter From The Storm” on June 7, 2024, Nadia McAnuff is poised to captivate audiences worldwide.
