BORDERS DOWN, VOLUME UP: LILA IKÉ AND PROTOJE’S GLOBAL REACH WITH ‘ALL OVER THE WORLD’
From Brooklyn bodegas to the Great Pyramid, Lila Iké moves like an artist intent on mapping reggae’s reach. All Over The World, her striking collaboration with Protoje, lifts from her debut album Treasure Self Love and reimagines Rascalz’s 1990s anthem Top of the World (featuring Barrington Levy and k-os) for a restless new era.
Directed by Samo, the video reads like a cultural postcard. Eiffel Tower. New York streets. London corners. Each backdrop magnifies Lila’s intent: “When time we reach, we leave memories to the people, feel it when the ting touch down.”
THE SONG CELEBRATES REGGAE MUSIC AND THE POWER OF ITS MESSAGES TO INSPIRE
Protoje, who co-produced with Ziah .Push, storms the track with a verse that sharpens its edges. “This one feels like a theme song for Lila right now… it’s an anthem if I’ve ever heard one,” he says.
Momentum follows her everywhere. From São Paulo stages to Reggae Sumfest, where she once again shared space with Protoje, she’s expanding her reach. The track follows Romantic, her Masicka collaboration that flips Patra’s 1994 classic and is closing in on 1.5 million views.
With Treasure Self Love on the near horizon, Lila Iké steps confidently into reggae’s global conversation.
