Just for a moment, the dance stands still when the right record plays. The Earliers, Karigan’s third album, is a glorious journey into reggae’s soul and rocksteady rhythms of the 1960s and 70s.
The album’s grooves feel lived-in and warm. The vintage instrumentation swings with easy confidence. And the two lead vocalists, Sebah and Congo Lion, bring the kind of raw, soulful authority that turns a good record into a great one.
At its heart, this is a live project built by Karigan and Organiks, two musicians with over 16 years of shared stage experience. They have performed alongside reggae legends including Cedric Myton and Apple Gabriel. Those years on stage give this record its backbone.

The album’s vinyl splits beautifully across two sides. Side A features Congo Lion delivering five early reggae tracks with sharp, intelligent lyricism. Side B hands the mic to Sebah, whose raw blues feeling fills 20 minutes of pure soul. Both singers bring deep experience and unmistakable character to every track.
Vintage instruments meet painstaking sound research, as The Earliers earns every bit of its buzz. A fresh 7″ arrives this April, with two new tracks to savour. Stay tuned.

ABOUT KARIGAN
Karigan is a French drummer and producer rooted in classic reggae. He grew up in the Creuse, played with established collectives, including The Guardians and Jayanah, and then built BBR Studio into a respected roots hub, hosting Jamaican legends like Cedric Myton.
His signature blends vintage drum machines with 80s digital textures. Through The Roots Makers and The Earliers, he remains one of France’s most dedicated reggae craftsmen.
