ABOUT JIMMY OCTOBER
Jimmy October is a national award-winning singer-songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago. Growing up in Sangre Grande, he was immersed in music and creativity from a young age. His mother introduced him to poetry, recognising his special talent.
Starting as a poet and rapper, he opened for artists like J. Cole and Major Lazer. In 2017, he achieved his first international release with DJ Steve Aoki on “No Time” from the album “Kolony.”
That same year, Jimmy embraced his Caribbean roots, creating the “New Calypso” sound. His EP “Vacation” blends soca, calypso, Afrobeats, dancehall, hip hop, and RnB, showcasing his genre-bending style.
