ISHA BEL & MIRIAM SIMONE’S ‘SISTER SISTER’ SPARKS A BOLD CALL FOR SOLIDARITY

Reggae powerhouses IshA Bel and Miriam Simone join forces on Sister Sister, a bold anthem celebrating unity and resilience. Their decade-long friendship and deep musical bond sparked an entire EP during the pandemic, with this track emerging from shared reasoning and inspiration.

Beyond the music, Sister Sister serves as the theme song for the Indigenous Motherhouse Foundation, an initiative founded by Simone to uplift women. IshA Bel, also a director, steered the song’s production to ensure its message resonates.

SISTER SISTER IS A CALL TO UNITY AND A TRIBUTE TO RESILIENCE

The track’s foundation comes from an all-star lineup of musicians. Franklyn “Bubbla” Waul, Ian Knight, and Marlon Dixon lay down the drums, bass, and keys. Gibby “Lebert” Morrison adds guitar, while Sheldon Bernard brings the flute. Junior Congo provides percussion, with Harmonique delivering additional harmonies.

Recorded at Bobby Digital Studio, engineered by Calibud, and expertly mixed by Tandra “JahGaroo” Jhagroo, the production delivers depth and soul.

With a music video premiere dropping on Kalinga Records and Dredda Records, Sister Sister is a powerful call for solidarity, delivered with soul.
