I-TAWEH CONFRONTS DIVISION WITH ‘EXECUTIVE ORDER’
Roots reggae thrives as a voice for the people, and I-Taweh’s Executive Order stands firmly in that tradition. Produced by Tap Nat Muzik, the track commands attention with a rub-a-dub riddim full of bass weight, echo, and steady, unhurried drums. Its groove draws you in, while the lyrics demand your full attention.
The song highlights how governments use laws and policies to enforce division. I-Taweh’s sharp, plain words stress vigilance and resistance. His vocal delivery balances urgency with composure, showing reggae as a space for truth and defiance.
Executive Order was recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong studio in Kingston by O’Neill “Mendez” Smith. The track was later mixed and mastered by Peter Temple at Temple Studio in California, which gives it a polished edge while keeping its roots grit intact.
I-TAWEH’S VOICE CUTS CLEARLY THROUGH THE RIDDIM, STEADY BUT FORCEFUL
What stands out most is I-Taweh’s commanding presence. His voice cuts clearly through the riddim, steady but forceful. The track moves beyond entertainment, speaking directly to listeners about unity, awareness, and the need to question power.
Executive Order is a roots anthem that links groove with unflinching commentary. It shows reggae’s enduring strength as music of protest and consciousness, reaching across borders with a message that resonates now more than ever.
