TWO ISLANDS, ONE VIBE: FAB I&I AND YANISS ODUA ‘REFIND THE ROOTS’

From the sun-bleached shores of Lifou Island and Maré, New Caledonian roots singer Fab I&I steps out with Refind The Roots, a radiant, soul-deep duet with Martinique reggae heavyweight Yaniss Odua. This is music that breathes salt air and and the joy of sharing connections.

The earthy, warm track celebrates simplicity, community and a return to foundational values. Its accompanying music video, shot across New Caledonia’s breathtaking islands, pulses with barefoot conviction and natural beauty.

Odua brings serious pedigree. He has traded verses with Skarra Mucci and lent his voice to Danakil’s Enfants Du Monde. Here, he sounds right at home: rooted, resonant and alive.

TAKE A BREATH, THE ROOTS ARE CALLING

Refind The Roots follows February’s La Vie as the second single from Fab I&I’s latest album, Connexions. Both tracks share a beating heart: unity, cultural memory and a conscious return to reggae’s most essential, universal vibration.

This Pacific-Caribbean collaboration feels like an open window. Take a breath. The roots are calling.
