STUDIO COLLECTIVE DRY BONES CHANNEL THE SPIRIT OF DUB IN ‘BABYLON PROPHECY’

Dry Bones break ground with Babylon Prophecy, a striking debut shaped by deep roots and dubwise intention. The duo—Jules Brookes and Rob Cowan—step forward with purpose, guided by the hands of legendary producer Dennis Bovell. Their sound blends vintage reggae spirit with bold, contemporary textures, echoing the music’s revolutionary heart while carving out their own path.

Vocal support from lovers rock icon Carroll Thompson lends emotional gravity. Her delivery glides effortlessly across riddims, drawing the past into the present. Meanwhile, Phil Ramocon—whose early career saw him touring with Bob Marley—layers deep, expressive keys, grounding the album in authenticity.

Dry Bones draw directly from the lineage of reggae’s most vital voices. The influence of Black Uhuru, Eek-A-Mouse, Barrington Levy, Augustus Pablo, and King Tubby runs deep through the album’s architecture.

RICH ANALOGUE TEXTURES BLEND WITH METICULOUS DUB TECHNIQUE

With iconic reggae producer Dennis Bovell on mix duties, rich analogue textures blend with meticulous dub technique, creating tracks that resonate with history while moving forward. Each song is paired with a dedicated dub version, opening portals into rhythm, space, and layered sonic exploration.

We’re building on the foundation,” says Brookes. “We honour the ’60s to ’80s roots sound, but we’re also speaking to now.

Set your compass: Babylon Prophecy is both map and message. For those waiting on the full dub odyssey, Babylon Prophecy in Dub lands on 18 July 2025. Let the prophecy unfold, one bassline at a time.
