CORRELLA’S SKELETONS IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO SUMMER
Tāmaki Makaurau’s Corrella is back, and they’re bringing the heat with Skeletons, their second full-length album. The 11-track collection blends South Pacific-inspired roots and reggae with soul, funk, gospel, pop, and even a touch of country. In short, Skeletons sounds like two things: summer and Corrella.
The trio—siblings Pipiwharauroa and Ngawaiwera Campbell, along with guitarist Te Naawe Tupe—shine on this release. Their signature harmonies and three-headed vocal attack give Skeletons its unmistakable vibe.
From sun-drenched grooves to heartfelt ballads, the album is a journey of sound and soul, keeping the Corrella essence alive while pushing boundaries.
The release caps off a massive year for the band. Their debut, Road From 26, delivered the record-breaking hit Blue Eyed Māori, catapulting them to festival mainstages, sold-out tours, and multiple awards. Now, Skeletons cements their place as New Zealand’s next big export.
This antipodean summer, Corrella is everywhere—headlining marquee events like Rhythm and Vines, supporting L.A.B, and announcing more shows soon. If Skeletons is any sign, this year is Corrella’s for the taking.
