Born Clifton George Bailey III in 1967 in St. Mary, Jamaica, Capleton is a legendary reggae artist. Inspired by a local lawyer, his quick thinking earned him the nickname “Capleton.”

Capleton developed a love for sound systems at a young age and pursued music passionately. At the age of 18, he relocated to Kingston, where Stewart Brown gave him his first big opportunity by flying him to Canada for a show with Ninjaman and Flourgon.

His hits like “Bumbo Red” and “No.1 Pon Di Look Good Chart” rapidly propelled him to dancehall stardom. Embracing Rastafari, he became known for his messages of righteousness and empowerment, ultimately impacting the global reggae scene.

Derrick Sound is a dynamic duo of Geneva DJs, producers, and MCs. Mr Nico and Inspecta Derrick began their journey in the early 2000s at the K-Bar and Piment Rouge. Inspired by sound system icons like David Rodigan, they crafted a unique style known for originality and energy. 

Though shocking to reggae purists, their remixes and productions gained them popularity. Winning the Geneva Clash twice, they founded Evidence Music Label in 2013. 

With hits like “Bun Dem Down” featuring Capleton and “Sunrise” featuring Sizzla, Derrick Sound continues to rise in the music scene.
