Gliding over a smooth one-drop rhythm, Aza confesses, “I try to stop loving you, but my heart won’t let me,” embodying the ups and downs of deep affection. The track’s heartbeat is its irresistible chorus, a creation born from instinct.

“Going into this particular writing session, I wanted a one-word chorus—something original—so I created ‘Chikiwawawoi,’” she shares. “To me, the word means unconditional love between a man and a woman.”
This expressive release follows Rule the Sound and 2023’s Don’t Say You Love Me, marking another chapter in her collaboration with King Jammy. Her momentum is undeniable—she recently graced the stage at Emancipation Park for Bob Marley’s 80th birthday tribute, reinforcing her presence among reggae’s torchbearers.
