MOUNTAIN FLOWER BLOOMS ON THE 12 TRIBES OF MARS DEBUT
When Mountain Flower lands, it feels like stepping onto a ship ready for liftoff. Amsterdam-based collective 12 Tribes of Mars carry you through reggae, ska, and dub rhythms into a universe of spacey electronics and freeform jazz twists. Hypnotic grooves wrap around bursts of improvisation, pulling listeners from the floor to somewhere beyond.
The band formed in 2022 when saxophonist and composer Andrius Dereviancenko joined a SITProductions residency. They have quickly found their shape, forging a sound where trance-like grooves meet unpredictable bursts of energy.
MOUNTAIN FLOWER OFFERS A GLIMPSE INTO THE GROUP’S RAW, EXPLORATORY SPIRIT
Each member brings deep jazz training and an appetite for experimentation, resulting in music that transcends genre boundaries. Mountain Flower offers a glimpse into that alchemy, a taste of the group’s raw, exploratory spirit. Their debut LP, due in March 2026 via Sono Music Group, promises to take the journey further.
For those ready to leave Earth’s weight behind, 12 Tribes of Mars offer an open seat on their vessel, where rhythm leads and gravity surrenders.

ABOUT 12 TRIBES OF MARS

Since forming in 2022 during a SITProductions residency, 12 Tribes of Mars have been reshaping the edges of rhythm. Their debut album, Hidden Sun (scheduled for release in March 2026), blends reggae, dub, ska and jazz into flowing soundscapes.
On stage, grooves ripple and fracture, electronic textures shimmer and improvisation sparks. Each performance feels like entering a living, breathing world where music guides movement, imagination and collective energy.
