Life on Earth weighing you down? Amsterdam’s 12 Tribes of Mars have a solution. Their debut album, Hidden Sun, drops you into a cosmos where reggae, ska and dub traditions ignite, burning brightly against a vast, open sky.
Born from a 2022 SITProductions residency, the quintet of trained jazz musicians fuse trance-inducing grooves with wild electronic improvisation. Lithuanian tenor saxophonist Andrius Dereviancenko leads the charge alongside trumpet, bass, guitar and drums. Together, they craft something genuinely eclectic: danceable, gritty, and thrillingly free.
