DJ CASSIDY, SHAGGY, AND RAYVON COLLABORATE ON “IF YOU LIKE PINA COLADAS”

Get ready to feel the summer vibes with this all-star team-up. In their new take on the yacht-rock classic, “The Pina Colada Song,” DJ Cassidy, Shaggy, and Rayvon combine their talents to create a fresh, upbeat track.

This interpretation of Rupert Holmes’ 1979 Billboard number one pop classic, “Escape (The Pina Colada Song),” will surely become a new summer anthem. DJ Cassidy, a renowned deejay, producer, and curator, and Shaggy, a diamond-selling Reggae icon, unite to bring a refreshing and celebratory sound to the season.

In 2022, DJ Cassidy teamed up with Shaggy and Rayvon for a memorable rendition of their 2001 megahit “Angel” on “Pass The Mic,” his groundbreaking TV show. Since then, DJ Cassidy and Shaggy have again joined forces to release their latest single, following their successful collaboration at Austin City Limits for Formula 1 in 2022.

A FEEL-GOOD REFRESHER COURSE IN SUMMER CELEBRATION

The music video, directed by Joe Labisi, pays homage to the 1989 cult comedy film “Weekend at Bernie’s,” with DJ Cassidy taking on the role of “deceased party host” Bernie, while Terry Kiser, the original actor who played the character, makes a special cameo. Jonathan Silverman, who starred in the original film, also appears. Filmed on location on Miami Beach, the video was created in collaboration with Malibu®, the go-to brand for Piña Coladas.
