NATURAL RIGHT IN A COLD UNIVERSE BRINGS A UNIQUE BLEND OF REGGAE, SKA AND BALKAN INFLUENCE

Based between Reading, London & Athens, Natural Right has captivated audiences with its distinctive sound since 2016. The band’s music is an enchanting fusion of reggae and ska with a strong Balkan influence. The band typically performs as a five-piece but occasionally adds extra brass.

The current members include Alex River (vocals and guitar), Andy Whitaker (bass), Michael Amosu (drums), James Knight (Sax) & Emil Rivers (keys). The twin brothers Alex & Emil, who hail from Athens, grew up in Portugal, significantly influencing their songwriting style.

In 2023, Natural Right is set to release their debut album, which is being recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and produced by Simon “Barny” Barnicott (known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Placebo). The album will also feature a guest appearance from Barry “Baz” Warne of The Stranglers. The band’s Sweet Lies EP was a hit in the UK and received significant airplay, while their single “ANNA” was played extensively in Greece, including on Pepper FM, Galaxy FM, Kosmos FM, and En Lefko FM.

Natural Right supported Locomondo (one of Greece’s most successful bands) in Athens in 2022 and has a growing fan base. They have played at various festivals, including the One Love Festival, ReadiPop, Specialized Project, and Blam Blam Fever, to name a few.

2023 will release the debut album and plenty more gigs are on the horizon. It’s gonna be a really exciting year.
