A stunning cover version of a song written by Monte Moir and made famous by Alexander O’Neal.
James ‘Yllavation’ Crossdale is a Musician, Producer and Sound Engineer based in the Midlands, with many years experience in the music industry working with artists/musicians across the Globe. He produces music across many genres including Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B & House.
Yllavation started in a steel band at the age of 5. During his 8 years in the band he also learned how to play drum kit. At 6 years old he was told by www.panmaestro.com that he has the gift of perfect pitch after singing perfect notes into a strobe tuner.
He then discovered his talent for production at a family studio at the tender age of eight and was soon producing reggae and calypso for many local artists. Hip Hop & R&B was a new challenge in his teen years and produced for the group Manystyles, which he was one of the nine members.
Introduced to Garage in 1997 in a friend’s car, the speed, funky drum patterns and soulful chord chops got him hooked into the vibe and Yllavation started producing with other artists and projects, fusing Asian melodies with garage beats for Street Vybes.
Yllavation developed his writing and production skills at Incubator Records for 2 years and started producing and engineering Hip Hop for Netty Entertainment. He then joined MS&M International/M19 Music Marketing to produce & engineer Hip Hop & R&B for artists Kavina and Amnesia.
