STEEL PULSE’S DAVID HINDS JOINS F.Y.A.H. FOR “FREEDOM FIGHTER”

Reggae band F.Y.A.H. (Free Your Authentic Heart) has shared their single “Freedom Fighter” featuring David Hinds of Steel Pulse after a successful debut at NYC’s Summer Stage concert series.

“Freedom Fighter” is a roots reggae track that brings together two generations of artists in the fight for liberation. Vocalists Elton Earlington and David Hinds charge the front lines with fiery verses, condemning deep-rooted brutality and injustice. The track was produced by Delroy ‘Pele’ Hamilton, founder and bassist of F.Y.A.H.

Pêlé expressed his honour in collaborating with one of his reggae icons, David, whom he has admired throughout his musical career, and the song came together effortlessly. Said David Hinds, “What attracted me to F.Y.A.H.’s music is the similarity in style and upbeat energy, like our songs ‘Chant a Psalm’ and ‘Nyabinghi Voyage.’ The collaboration followed the same tempo and energy.”

The Kingston, Jamaica-based band F.Y.A.H. is set to release their debut album in early 2024. Their latest single, “Freedom Fighter” follows “Raging Fire” and “One Day Soon,” which features dancehall legend Josey Wales. F.Y.A.H. will also tour with Landon McNamara in California and Nevada from September through October.

ABOUT F.Y.A.H.

F.Y.A.H. (Free Your Authentic Heart) is a new project by Delroy “Pele” Hamilton, co-founder, leader, and bassist of Raging Fyah, a famous Jamaican reggae band. With three albums, including the Grammy-nominated Everlasting, Pele decided to focus on music production during the pandemic and Pele collaborated with Nicolas Groskopf and Elton Earlington to create F.Y.A.H.’s debut album, “Free Your Authentic Heart”.
