Eek-A-Mouse, born Ripton Hilton in Kingston, Jamaica, significantly impacted the dancehall scene with his sing-jay style and catchy phrases. He gained popularity with hits like “Wa-Do-Dem” and “Modelling Queen” and crossed into rock with the album U-Neek. Despite only releasing one album with Island, he continued to create music until his last full-length album, Black Cowboy, in 1996.
