Bob Marley & The Wailers was a Jamaican band that played ska, rocksteady, and reggae music. Tuff Gong International is a record label and recording studio founded in 1965 by Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer in Jamaica. It is named after Marley’s famous nickname, “The Gong,” and the Jamaican slang term “tuff,” which means “tough” or “hard.” Initially, the label was situated on Orange Street in Kingston, Jamaica. However, it shifted to its location at 56 Hope Road in Kingston in 1970. The Hope Road location is now the site of the Bob Marley Museum, which is incredibly popular among tourists.
