KABAKA PYRAMID DROPS EXPLOSIVE ‘PON DI ISLAND RIDDIM’
Kabaka Pyramid returns with a vibrant, heavyweight juggling drop—Pon Di Island Riddim—his second full riddim release, delivered on Bebble Rock Records. After months of eager anticipation, the wait is finally over.
Rooted in Yaksta’s breezy September 2024 standout, Pon Di Island, this riddim pulses with tropical urgency and lyrical grit. December saw Jah Lil’s Hold Corner deepen the groove. Now, its phase one hits hard with three fire-charged additions.
PON DI ISLAND RIDDIM MOVES LIKE SMOKE THROUGH CONCRETE—RESTLESS, REFLECTIVE, AND FULL OF FIRE
Pressure Busspipe and Capleton go full militant on Gunman Town, a gritty meditation on violence and survival. Meanwhile, Qraig Voicemail teams with Singer J on Real Vibez, bringing dancefloor heat and nostalgic flair. Jah Izrehl keeps it soaring with Pon Plane, a track that blends roots and uplifts with ease.
And that’s just the beginning. More cuts are on the horizon, including a highly anticipated track from Kabaka himself. Jamaica, due out on 30 May, already feels destined for anthem status.

Kabaka Pyramid not only composed and produced the riddim but also curated a stellar team: Craig Higgins (bass), Shackair McQueen (guitar), and Sherieta Lewis (vocals). Plus, expert mixing from Jah David and Marlon Easy. The final polish comes from mastering engineer Xavier Lek.
Pon Di Island Riddim moves like smoke through concrete—restless, reflective, and full of fire.
