SISKA & HORSEMAN REKINDLE SUMMER HEAT WITH ‘SKIN TO SKIN’
Siska, the soulful voice from Marseille’s Watcha Clan, returns with a simmering gem, Skin to Skin. This entrancing track is the first taste of an original EP due for release in 2025. After the evocative Diggin’ the Roots, an EP of heartfelt covers that unveiled her musical soul, Siska dives into uncharted waters with this sultry release.
Crafted in London by reggae maestro Prince Fatty, Skin to Skin oozes vintage reggae vibes, conjuring images of endless sunsets.
Horseman, a Jamaican deejay with a timeless style akin to Big Youth or U-Roy, brings a magnetic rhythm to Siska’s mesmerising verses. His vocal interplay adds a playful edge, weaving seamlessly with the track’s hypnotic pulse.
The song’s lyrics, penned by Rashaan Ahmad—a Bay Area hip-hop poet—were initially conceived for rap. Instead, Siska’s warm, honeyed voice transforms them into something entirely new. Each word feels like a gentle ocean wave, urging you to sway in sync with life’s slower moments.
Perfectly tailored to stretch summer’s glow into winter’s chill, Skin to Skin radiates timeless charm. It’s not just a jam; it’s your cue to break free—whether to a hammock or the dancefloor.
