VYBZ KARTEL HONOURS YELLOWMAN IN MAJOR LAZER’S ‘NOBODY MOVE’

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of ‘Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do’, Major Lazer has dropped an exciting track. Featuring dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, ‘Nobody Move’ is a tribute to Yellowman’s 1983 classic, ‘Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt’.

The original track, produced by Henry ‘Junjo’ Lawes, backed by the Roots Radics, and released on Greensleeves, is a timeless classic. Kartel’s version mixes his signature style with an airy reggae beat that brings back memories of Major Lazer’s 2012 hit, Get Free.

NOBODY MOVE KEEPS THE ESSENCE OF YELLOWMAN’S ORIGINAL SOUND ALIVE

Accompanied by a grainy, VHS-style animated video created by Major Lazer’s artist Ferry Gouw, Nobody Move pays homage to the 1980s dancehall era.

It masterfully fuses nostalgic sounds with fresh vibes, keeping the essence of Yellowman’s original alive while adding a modern twist.
