“KINGSTON HEAT” SIZZLES AS SAMORY I ANNOUNCES DELUXE ALBUM
Reggae star Samory I, one of Jamaica’s most compelling reggae voices, is back with a scorching single and music video, “Kingston Heat.”
Known for his unique sound, Samory I gained global attention with his 2023 album Strength, which landed on Rolling Stone’s Best Albums list. He’s set to release a deluxe version of the album on 4 October 2024, featuring two new tracks.

The “Kingston Heat” video, set in a tree-top suite, tells a relatable story. In it, he struggles to balance his passion for music and his relationship while his love interest tries to cool off with a fan. This track blends classic dub and ska, with Samory’s vocals and Winta James’ production creating an unforgettable vibe.
The deluxe edition will also feature a beautiful rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “You Will Know” and “Clouds,” with dub versions mixed by Tippy I Grade.
Samory I described the album as a reflection of the struggles he overcame. He called it a project that helped him heal and find strength in both himself and others.
